Today FDNY honors FDNY Lt. and U.S Air Force Master Sgt Christopher Raguso with a plaque dedication ceremony at Engine 302 and Ladder 155 in Queens. Lt Raguso died on March 15, 2018, in an Air Force helicopter crash in Iraq. He was on military leave from the Department, serving his country in his sixth deployment. Lt. This week, the FDNY honored EMT Hilda Vannata and retired Firefighter Robert Fulco as they were laid to rest. They are the 342nd and 343rd members of the FDNY to die as a result of the time they spent on the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site. Lieutenant Greg Tajalle has been with the FDNY for more than 20 years. In 2018, his friend, Lieutenant Chris Raguso was killed while on deployment in Iraq.
