#JBLM Armed Forces Day 2019 is underway at JBLM Main, and runs today from 11 a.m to 7 p.m. See military vehicle, helicopter and equipment displays, historic re-enactors, carnival rides, and food and fun for everyone. A Joint Base Lewis-McChord helicopter that crashed in the Capitol Forest Wednesday night was on a routine training flight, according to U.S. Army spokesperson Cynthia Smith. KOMO News Reporter Theron Zahn was as close to the crash site as we were allowed to be Thursday morning. The crash happened in the Summit Lake area of Thurston County, west of Olympia.
