Born January 8, 1912 — José Ferrer, Oscar-winning actor of Cyrano de Bergerac. Ferrer appeared in over 115 roles including Joan of Arc, Moulin Rouge, Miss Sadie Thompson, Lawrence of Arabia, The Caine Mutiny, Ship of Fools, The Greatest Story Ever Told - and of course Cyrano de Bergerac.
