On August 14, 1982 Continental Wrestling Association’ Memphis Wrestling aired from the WMC TV5 Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. In his Memphis Territory debut, NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair put his title on the line against Jerry “The King” Lawler. It marked one of the most famous matches and angles in Memphis history. Flair took time out of his busy schedule to appear in Memphis.
