We do this thing as humans where we rank pain. Quietly. Constantly. Almost automatically. We hear someone else’s story and our mind goes: “Well mine wasn’t that bad.” Or worse… “Other people have had it much harder than me.” That’s what I call The Trauma League Table. Top of the table: war, abuse, catastrophe. Bottom of the table: neglect, emotional absence, being unseen, chronic anxiety, quiet loss. And somewhere along the way we decide that if our pain doesn’t place high enough, it doesn’t cou
