Paterson firefighters remained on scene late Monday night after a two-alarm fire at 166 North Main Street. Crews had already knocked down the main body of fire by the time I arrived, but smoke was still coming from the second floor as companies worked on overhaul and checked for extension. Exposure damage was reported next door, but the fire was placed under control shortly after.
