Do you reward good behaviour? This is a good question and here’s my take on this. Never, because if you're rewarded for good behavior, for one thing, they're going to expect a reward every time they're nice and they do something good, which is ridiculous, because that's not life. Also, it's like saying you're normally rotten but if you should happen to be good you get a reward. I do not reward good behavior because that is my baseline expectation. I just expect it. It's an insult in my opinion.

Rewarding your way to failure… The amount of times I’ve watched owners and trainers (who’ve been taught you *always* have to reward desired behavior) mess up the dog, or cause the dog to behave in a pushy or even dangerous fashion… makes my head spin even as write this.
