YouTube launched 20 years ago reached another milestone, as viewers are now watching more content on TV than mobile. Globally, over billion hours are consumed daily.

YouTube has officially been around for two decades and a lot has changed over the years — including how people watch it. Now, a new report from YouTube claims TV has overtaken mobile to become the primary device for viewing content in the US.

Paramount is notifying YouTube TV subscribers that channels including CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV and Nickelodeon could go dark on the service.

Media giant Paramount Global's channels, including CBS and Nickelodeon, will be unavailable on YouTube TV starting Thursday after the two companies failed to reach a contract renewal, both parties said.

"Google is unwilling to agree to reasonable terms" to keep CBS, Comedy Central, MTV and more on its YouTube TV service, the execs say.

Unless YouTube and Paramount come to a last-minute agreement on a new contract, “after February 13, 2025, all Paramount content, including CBS and CBS Sports, will be unavailable on YouTube TV,” according to a YouTube blog post.
