Clear skies this evening will last through the overnight. Lows tonight will fall to near 60-degrees with light winds. Winds will become west/southwest for many tomorrow and average 15 to 25 mph. This will help increase our temperatures and humidity.

Thursday's rain was a highly localized event. The highest impact was only felt over a 5-to-10 mile area south of Boston.

The National Weather Service issued a flood watch at 1:16 a.m. on Sunday valid from 11 a.m. until Monday 5 a.m. for Cayuga and Oswego counties.

Minneapolis has installed hundreds of rain gardens, tree trenches and other green infrastructure in recent years, aiming to reduce flood risks and clean up stormwater before it reaches the city’s lakes and rivers. On the city’s south side, nearly 200 gardens were built along Grand Avenue in 2022 and more than 100 along Bryant Avenue in 2023.

Game 2 of the Tigers' series against the Seattle Mariners at Comerica Park on Saturday, July 12 was hit with a rain delay before the game even started, something the Tigers have gotten used to this summer. The Tigers announced the rain delay on social media at 12:30 p.m., 40 minutes before the scheduled first pitch.

Massachusetts was battered by a swath of heavy rainstorms this week, with some areas flooded under several inches of water. “This time of year, we get thunderstorms and rain events that produce very localized pockets of heavy rainfall,” said National Weather Service forecaster Hayden Frank.

Saturday morning will be cloudy but mostly dry. Pop-up rain storms will start in the mid-afternoon and continue through the early evening hours. Sunday is expected to be just as rainy in the afternoon. The rain threat will intensify as we start out the work week with storms rolling through south Florida on both Monday and Tuesday.
