WJW-TV Cleveland on MSNThree Powerball tickets in Ohio win big!
LORAIN, Ohio (WJW) — A very lucky person in northeast Ohio could be holding a Powerball ticket worth $100,000. This is Ohio’s second $100,000 Powerball win in less than a week! In addition, Monday’s Powerball drawing turned out two $50,000 wins, also sold in the Buckeye State.
The Ohio Lottery says the ticket from July 3, 2024, has now expired after the winner failed to claim their prize by the deadline, which is 180 days after the drawing. That deadline arrived on Dec. 30.
While there is no shortage of partial Powerball prizes sold in Ohio, like the $1 million ticket sold Aug. 6 at a Seville Circle K, records show that only a handful of winning tickets for full jackpots have been sold here. This includes a hefty cash prize sold in 2024 that remains unclaimed.
