The Los Angeles Rams will host the San Francisco 49ers in the first ever NFL regular season game in Australia.

MELBOURNE — Feb. 5, 2026 — The National Football League has announced that the San Francisco 49ers will play the Los Angeles Rams in the historic first-ever regular season game in Melbourne, Australia. The teams will meet at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), in partnership with the Victorian State Government and Visit Victoria.

In case you hadn't realised, there's quite a few changes going on at Melbourne Airport. The international terminal is set for a major expansion, a $500 million baggage system is coming and so are new pick-up and drop-off zones. Phew!
