RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - Joseph Parker beat Martin Bakole with a vicious Round 2 knockout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

He quickly got to work in the ring and though he took one or two shots himself, in the second round he landed a thudding right hand on the top of Bakole’s head which sent him to the canvas. Although he rose, it was on unsteady legs and his trainer Billy Nelson had the referee stop the fight.

It wasn’t a totally unexpected outcome given the circumstances surrounding the fight but Parker still had to come through, which wasn’t an easy task against a power puncher like Bakole after he stopped American Jared Anderson in his previous outing.
