More than 1,000 people took to the streets on Thursday as they participated in a series of “Good Trouble” protests across Montgomery County, demonstrating against the Trump administration.

Over 200 people gathered at downtown Modesto’s Five Points intersection for a “Good Trouble Lives On” protest Thursday evening, in honor of the late congressmember and civil rights’ leader John Lewis on the anniversary of his death.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - More than 20 people gathered at the Florida Capitol to join the nationwide protest ‘Good Trouble Lives On.’ Many are in attendance to protest against President Donald Trump’s mass deportations, cuts to Medicaid and other cuts to safety nets for low-income people.

Protests are planned across the nation on Thursday, the anniversary of civil rights icon and Congressman John Lewis’ death. Lewis famously coined the term “good trouble” to describe nonviolent civil disobedience that challenges unjust systems.

More than two dozen protests were planned across Arizona to honor the late Rep. John Lewis, a longtime civil rights leader.

The 'Good Trouble' protests are part of a nationwide mobilization to honor the late Congressman John Lewis and to protest the Trump administration.

Good Trouble Lives On is a national event of peaceful, nonviolent action in remembrance of Lewis, who died five years ago on July 17. His quote,"Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America," still inspires many Americans.
