Senate Republicans narrowly approved President Donald Trump’s sweeping tax and spending cuts package Tuesday after a dayslong grind to secure the support of key holdouts.

Texas Republicans were divided but ultimately pivotal in helping President Donald Trump’s "Big Beautiful" Bill clear the U.S. House on Thursday. The bill passed in a narrow 218–214 vote, and despite vocal criticism from within the Texas GOP delegation, all 25 Texas Republican representatives—and both senators—voted in favor.

With Sens. Rand Paul and Thom Tillis opposed to the package, GOP leaders can afford only one more defection. And multiple Republicans aren't yet sold on the measure.
