A documentary series on the life and career of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick will no longer happen, according to legendary filmmaker Spike Lee. Lee was set to produce the series along with former ESPN personality and sports journalist Jemele Hill, but told Reuters on Sunday that the project would no longer be moving forward.

ESPN announced Saturday that it will not be releasing the multi-part documentary series on Colin Kaepernick that was being helmed by director Spike Lee.
