ATLANTA — Atlanta's picturesque East Lake Golf Club will be on display on the national golf stage this weekend as the PGA Tour's champion golfer will be crowned at the 2025 Tour Championship. The top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings will tee off on Thursday, looking to claim the $10 million prize given out to the winner on Sunday afternoon.

Despite a substantial lead in points, Scottie Scheffler has no starting stroke advantage in the Tour Championship. The "Starting Strokes" format was eliminated mid-season, giving all 30 players a chance to win the FedEx Cup.

The 2025 Tour Championship is the finale of the three-tournament FedEx Cup Playoffs. There are only 30 golfers still standing and they will all battle it out at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta starting Thursday.

Scheffler's victory in the BMW Championship on Aug. 17, in which he rallied from four shots behind Robert MacIntyre to start the day, was his 13th top-10 finish in a row since tying for 20th at The Players Championship. Nine of them have been top-fives.
