U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday said his proposed 25% tariffs on Mexican and Canadian goods will take effect March 4 along with an extra 10% duty on Chinese imports because deadly drugs are still pouring into the U.

President Donald Trump said Thursday that tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico will increase sharply on Tuesday and, in an unexpected move, also announced an additional 10 percent tax on Chinese goods that will take effect then.

President Donald Trump says he plans to impose tariffs on Canada and Mexico starting next Tuesday, in addition to doubling the 10% universal tariff charged on imports from China.
