Russell Westbrook had made the decisive defensive play, knocking Nicolas Batum’s inbound pass out of bounds off a Clippers teammate to force a turnover in a three-point game.

Clippers guard James Harden got everything started for Los Angeles, scoring 15 points in the first quarter alone. Los Angeles grabbed a 35-27 lead over the Nuggets after the first frame.
