Around 100 demonstrators marched from Houston City Hall to Discovery Green and back in opposition of President Donald Trump and his policies, among other issues.

Demonstrators have taken to the streets across multiple states on Thursday to protest President Donald Trump’s Administration in a day of action honoring the late civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis, with more events planned across the country in the evening.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to turn out for "Good Trouble" demonstrations, honoring civil rights icon John Lewis and protesting Trump policies.

The protests will mark the third time this year that Houston-area residents participate in nationwide demonstrations against the Trump administration.

The legacy of civil rights icon John Lewis will live on across America Thursday, with more than 1,600 events scheduled on the fifth anniversary of his death.
