Driven by social media and celebrities, Cambridge Dictionary has added thousands of new words over the last 12 months.

In what can only be considered a very recent phenomenon, a lot of internet slang, like “Skibidi” and “Delulu”, are being added to the Cambridge Dictionary this year, effectively changing the face of the English language.

The dictionary has added more than 6,000 words over the last year, including some that have grown in use by influencers and celebrities.
