Josh Allen has been named the 2024 NFL MVP. Allen won the award at the NFL Honors ceremony on Thursday and to a degree, it was surprising. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was selected as the AFC’s first-team, All-Pro QB over Allen. In most cases, that means Jackson would be named the MVP too.

Josh Allen was named The Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player for the first time, denying Lamar Jackson a second straight and third overall award.

There was a lot of drama at NFL Honors on Thursday and most of that came from the MVP race. In one of the closest votes of the night, Josh Allen ended up taking home the award after edging out Lamar Jackson.
