HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - State Sen. Brenton Awa R-Windward Oahu, has confirmed his decision to run for Congress. The former television journalist confirmed Sunday on social media that he is running for the GOP nomination for the second congressional district seat currently held by Democrat U.S. Rep. Jill Tokuda.
In a press conference at the state Capitol Friday, HSTA announced its support for state Sen. Jarrett Keohokalole in the race for Hawaii's First Congressional District.
