The backlash against the electric vehicle company has turned violent at times, as its billionaire chief executive parlays his support for President Trump into consequential influence over the federal government.
Police don’t yet know the motive behind the shooting at the dealership, 10069 S.W. Cascade Ave., but acknowledged that the attack could be political. The electric carmaker’s owner, Elon Musk, has embarked on a controversial purge of federal workers through the Department of Government Efficiency.
