Three news organizations banished from White House grounds asked a court late Monday to block enforcement of the action until the case is resolved, saying the Trump administration has “persisted in unpredictably and inconsistently implementing its ban” despite a judge’s restraining order -- including by barring CNN from fulfilling its role in the White House television pool over the weekend.

Major television networks plan to continue to provide pool coverage of President Trump’s daily activities this week despite the White House’s ongoing efforts to block CNN from covering the president.

The other four networks in the TV pool will decide on a case-by-case basis whether to provide a substitute crew when CNN is on the schedule.

CNN, MS NOW and Politico filed a First Amendment lawsuit against the Trump administration this week after their reporters were denied access to the White House following President Trump’s criticism of their coverage.

The bill's supporters, which include the NCAA, say it will tame what they call a "Wild West" era of college sports as litigation chips away at long-held rules around eligibility, transfers and pay.
