Tropical Storm Chantal is aiming for the South Carolina coast and is forecast to turn Northeast on it's track through North Carolina. Sunday becomes cloudy across the Piedmont Triad with scattered showers possible early morning.

Tropical Storm Warnings continue for part of the South Carolina coastline, and landfall will occur in the early morning hours Sunday, south of Myrtle Beach. Chantal is expected to remain a tropical storm as it nears South Carolina tonight.

Tropical storm warnings have been extended up to Surf City, North Carolina, as Tropical Storm Chantal is offshore from the southeastern U.S. on Saturday, according to the National Hurricane Center.The storm has maximum sustained winds of up to 50 mph and is moving north at just 8 mph.
