Polish No. 2 seed Iga Swiatek and American No. 4 Coco Gauff bounced back from first-set defeats to win their respective matches in the second round of the Mutua Madrid Open on Thursday in Spain.

This time Iga Swiatek had the answers against teenage sensation Alexandra Eala. Swiatek lost to the rising star from the Philippines in the Miami quarterfinals last month.

Iga Swiatek was able to raise her level and ultimately forced her way past her teenage opponent Alex Eala in a 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 at the Madrid Open on Thursday.
