The concept of a new Metal Gear Solid without Hideo Kojima feels like a wild thing to say, even ten years after he left Konami, but that's the state of the world we're in. We'll see if Konami's future generation of developers are up to the task, as well as if they can win over longtime Metal Gear Solid fans.

Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection was released in November of 2011, the same day as Modern Warfare 3, making for one interesting midnight at Gamestop. The Collection contains updated ports of MGS 2 and 3, plus a brand-new big screen version of the PSP-exclusive Peace Walker, all in glorious 720p.

PlatinumGames has revealed they worked on Metal Gear Solid Delta, bringing back the deep cut mini-game Guy Savage.
