China’s electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer BYD has reported a 100.4% surge, year-on-year, in net profit attributed to the shareholders for the first quarter (Q1) of the 2025 financial year. Net profit in Q1 reached 9.

Chinese auto giant BYD continued to outpace Tesla in the first quarter, reporting a doubling in net profit on robust growth in its electric-vehicle business.

China's biggest EV maker, BYD, has roiled the market over the past few months by offering its "God's Eye" driver-assistance system as a standard feature at no extra cost across its lineup.
