South Korea's prosecutors indicted impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol on Sunday on charges of leading an insurrection with his short-lived imposition of martial law on Dec. 3, Yoon's lawyers and the main opposition party said.

The Constitutional Court is separately deliberating whether to formally dismiss Yoon Suk Yeol as president or reinstate him. Yoon was impeached and suspended by the assembly last month.
