Thanksgiving week in Metro Detroit is forecast to bring a shift toward rain and colder wintry conditions, meteorologists say. The week is slated to start off mild on Monday. The area is expected to bring increasing cloud cover with temperatures topping out in the 50s. The average high on Nov. 24 is 45 degrees, National Weather Service records show.

Chicago weather: Rain, cold front on the way
Following Tuesday's cold front, cold air will wrap into the region, sending temperatures into the 30s on Wednesday. Westerly winds will gust to 40-45 mph, resulting in daytime windchills only in the 20s, likely dropping to the teens at night.
A weak front will take its time crossing over our region, meaning rain will linger into the afternoon for most of us. Monday will be our driest day this week before more steady rain arrives Tuesday through Thanksgiving.
