The County of Los Angeles and City of Pasadena, along with other public entities, filed lawsuits against Edison International and its subsidiary Southern California Edison on Wednesday, alleging their role in igniting one of California's worst wildfires.

The lawsuit blames SCE’s equipment for triggering the deadly blaze that cut a mammoth swath of damage through the unincorporated community of Altadena.

Baron & Budd filed the lawsuits on Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court against Southern California Edison over damages caused by the Eaton fire.
