Having the wet weather tires on hand is a good idea. It would just be a major let down if, after all of the delays and schedule changes, to see this come down to a rainy night race. Even a damp race would be detrimental to the fan turnout, and that’s why the race was pushed back to Wednesday to begin with – fans.

NASCAR reschedules Clash again to Wednesday night because of 'historic' winter weather in N.C.
The exhibition race originally was set for Sunday night before moving to Monday.
“In year one, we hit the jackpot,” said NASCAR’s Justin Swilling, who is in charge of the Clash on behalf of the sanctioning body. “This year, I wouldn’t say we’ve lost the bet, but we rolled the dice, and unfortunately, Mother Nature didn’t want us to stay on schedule.”
