"Harry Potter" author JK Rowling remains "fairly involved" in the development of HBO's planned series adaptations of her books, according to HBO CEO Casey Bloys. But he attests that her influence "hasn't affected" the overall outcome of the casting decisions,

HBO's Harry Potter series should include Hermione's S.P.E.W. storyline for added depth and character development. The television format allows for detailed explorations of side stories that enhance the overall narrative. Including S.P.E.W. in the show will provide more magical moments, character development, and audience engagement.

"It hasn't affected the casting or hiring of writers or production staff or anything," HBO boss Casey Bloys says.
