Wait times at TSA checkpoints escalated Sunday as staffing crunches across the country left passengers standing in long lines to get screened.
The touchless lane uses facial comparison technology to match a live image captured at the checkpoint with the passport photo stored in an airline profile. If everything lines up, a mobile boarding pass labeled "TSA PreCheck Touchless ID" unlocks access to a dedicated lane.
