President Trump threatened to investigate former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie just days after the FBI searched the home of former National Security Adviser John Bolton. NBC News' Ken Dilanian reports the latest details.
Miller said it was "complete hyperbole" to say that the U.S. came the closest it ever had to a military coup in the months between Trump's defeat and his departure from the White House on Jan. 20.
Miller, in a March interview with Axios, and again in his written testimony submitted to the committee, said in his opinion, Trump’s inflammatory speech incited the assault on democracy.
Trump appointed Miller to lead the DoD on January 9 after firing then-DoD head Mark Esper. The firing occurred 11 days before Trump's final day in office.
