Police say a man with a bomb allegedly strapped to his chest took at least one hostage in a California Chase Bank on Tuesday.

A man was barricaded inside a downtown Bakersfield Chase Bank with an unknown number of people Tuesday afternoon after police responded to a reported bomb threat, authorities said.

About a dozen police cars were on scene along with one tactical vehicle and multiple emergency responders, and FBI agents were on the scene.
