Scammers regularly try to convince their intended victims that they are from the Canada Revenue Agency, says the CRA.

Edmonton police confirm seniors are the ones being targeted most often by such scams. With tax time approaching, they've seen a jump in complaints recently and get up to 30 calls a day about the scam.
