A bill on whether schools should check student immigration status and one on artificial intelligence are in the hopper for Tennessee lawmakers when they return to session Jan. 13.
Senate Bill 1487, known as the “Early Behavioral Intervention and Reporting Act,” would mandate that schools track health, safety and behavioral issues displayed by students on computers and submit annual reports to the Tennessee Department of Education.
