Los Angeles Police Department officers have identified the suspect who was killed after a pursuit turned into a deadly shooting involving police on the 405 Freeway in Westchester on Friday morning.

Several lanes of the busy 405 Freeway in Los Angeles were closed during the Friday morning rush after a police shooting in the area.

The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig Alert for the freeway at Howard Hughes Parkway due to police activity. All northbound lanes were closed through the morning until about 12:40 p.m.
