The Trump administration may deport Kilmar Abrego Garcia to Uganda after he rejected a last-minute deal to remain in jail, plead guilty to human smuggling charges and be deported to Costa Rica, a legal notice filed Saturday by his attorneys said.

Abrego, wrongfully deported to a notorious prison in El Salvador, now faces removal to Uganda just a day after being freed from a Tennessee jail.

His lawyers accuse the government of trying to "coerce" him to plead guilty by threatening to deport him "halfway across the world".
