Paramount CEOs Say They’re in Standoff With YouTube TV Over Carriage Deal
"Google is unwilling to agree to reasonable terms" to keep CBS, Comedy Central, MTV and more on its YouTube TV service, the execs say.

Unless YouTube and Paramount come to a last-minute agreement on a new contract, “after February 13, 2025, all Paramount content, including CBS and CBS Sports, will be unavailable on YouTube TV,” according to a YouTube blog post.

If you are subscribed to the Entertainment Plus bundle, YouTube TV will give you $10 off on each bill as long as Paramount content is unavailable. And if you are subscribed to Paramount+ with Showtime or BET+, YouTube TV won't be charged further. YouTube TV will only start the billing cycle again once the content is back on its platform.

A major dispute between YouTube TV and Paramount Global has escalated, threatening to remove more than 20 popular channels from the streaming service, including CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, and Paramount Network. If an agreement is not reached, the blackout could take effect as early as Thursday, February 13.
