The NBA Cup match-up between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder gives us the first meeting with extra incentive for a budding young NBA rivalry. Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren have shown an intensity on the court when playing against each other to start the feud.

Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen was ejected from an NBA Cup quarterfinals game against the OKC Thunder on Wednesday.

While coming up on a Chet Holmgren screen in a 94-58 game in the third quarter, Allen ran into him hard with his forearm near the head area of the star center. The Thunder had a visceral reaction to what ended up being called a flagrant two foul and an ejection, and a brawl nearly ensued.

Holmgren was sidelined for three months last season because of a fractured pelvis and is "chasing for more" this season.
