Hundreds more National Guard troops are expected to arrive in Washington, D.C., in the coming days, with at least four Republican-led states offering to send soldiers.

Republican-led states are sending National Guard troops to D.C. to support President Trump's anti-crime efforts, with hundreds of soldiers from West Virginia, South Carolina, and Ohio being deployed to nearly double the 800 D.

Louisiana has become the fifth state to send National Guard troops to Washington, D.C. Roughly 135 MPs will assist in federal law enforcement under President Trump’s order.
