Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers scooped the PFA Young Player of the Year, while Mariona Caldentey, the Arsenal forward, won the women’s Player of the Year award. Salah has now won the top individual prize in English football three times thanks to his starring role in Liverpool ’s title win last term.

Salah becomes the first player to win three PFA Player of the Year awards, having also secured the crown for the 2017-18 and 2021-22.

Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has reiterated that he is “counting” on Rodrygo following yet another snub. Rodrygo was an unused substitute for Los Blancos on Tuesday night as they kicked off their 2025-26 La Liga campaign with a 1-0 win at home to 10-man Osasuna.
