Five years after moving to the U.S. from Japan, Kansei Matsuzawa's studying of YouTube videos on learning how to kick a football paid off.

Micah Alejado threw two touchdown passes and Kansei Matsuzawa made three field goals — including a 38-yarder as time expired — to help Hawaii beat Stanford 23-20 in the season opener for both teams

Alejado’s second touchdown pass gave the Rainbow Warriors a 14-13 lead just before halftime, as he found former Stanford receiver Jackson Harris over the top of the defense for a 19-yard score.
