Demonstrators have taken to the streets across multiple states on Thursday to protest President Donald Trump’s Administration in a day of action honoring the late civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis, with more events planned across the country in the evening.

Inspired by the late civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis, East Texas community members gathered Thursday evening at the corner of Broadway Avenue and Shiloh Road to take part in the national Good Trouble movement,

Tens of thousands of people are expected to turn out for "Good Trouble" demonstrations, honoring civil rights icon John Lewis and protesting Trump policies.

The nationwide day of action is in response to the Trump administration and refers to a term coined by the late Rep. John Lewis.
