Investigators are disputing rumors about a father and daughter who were rescued after going overboard on a Disney Cruise ship over the weekend.  The Broward County Sheriff’s Office told CBS News Miami the “little girl was not being held,

The 5-year-old girl who fell from a Disney cruise was not placed on the ship's railing by her dad, authorities tell PEOPLE. The girl fell overboard, followed by her dad who jumped in to save her. Both were rescued and returned to the ship.

Broward detectives said security footage from the Disney ship corroborated the family's account, and the investigation is ongoing.
