France’s Benjamin Bonzi upset No. 13 Daniil Medvedev of Russia in the final match of Sunday's first-round play at the US Open.

Daniil Medvedev was called out by his US Open first-round opponent Benjamin Bonzi after the Russian's third set rant.

It took a few extra hours, but Benjamin Bonzi pulled off the upset. After nearly blowing a two-sets-to-love lead, which was highlighted by a photographer inadvertently interrupting play with Bonzi serving for the match in the third set against No. 13 seed Daniil Medvedev, the Frenchman hung on in a dramatic fifth set.
