Chávez was detained in front of his home in Los Angeles and will be deported to Mexico, where he faces organized crime charges, authorities said.

The arrest came only days after the former middleweight champion lost a match against influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

The Department of Homeland Security says Mexican boxer Julio Cesar Chávez Jr. has been arrested by U.S. immigration officers and is being processed for expedited removal from the country.
