You don’t have to wait until July 4 to see fireworks in Boston. The Harborfest display will begin at 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, with the fireworks launching from a barge at Long Wharf. Immediately preceding the pyrotechnics, there will be a concert starting at 7:45 p.m. at Christopher Columbus Park.

The US is arguably never more dependent on China than on July 4, when the nation celebrates its rebellion against British rule with fireworks that are inevitably imported from China.

There are plenty of locations and events in L.A. County to take in Fourth of July fireworks and drone light shows, from a historic boat ride to a low-key lookout.
